Alright, as you all can tell, I'm really bad at this "updating the blog" game, but it has been super busy here in the cheese state! Later tonight, I will write a very wordy blog about my experience thus far. I promise I will add pictures this time! =) Check back later for part one of a three part update on my experience at Oceans of Fun! Thanks to everyone that takes the time to read this!
-Josh =)
I have been accepted into an internship program at Oceans of Fun located in the Milwaukee Zoo with seals and sea lions. I will be there from January 15th until June 1st, maybe longer.

Quite the experience so far!
It's only my third day here and I got pulled over by the nicest cop in the whole world because my headlight was out. Received a parking violation for not having a parking permit. My windshield wipers needed to be replaced and I spilled hot cocoa all over my only pair of jeans! It can only get better! :)
Yesterday, I went to the Milwaukee County Zoo to check out the Oceans of Fun facility! It was really different but I'm so excited and know I'm going to learn so much! Everyone was really nice and I even got to watch a few training sessions! Out of there six California Sea Lions, Geneva and Makaia are pregnant and are due hopefully soon! Their female harbor seal, Satara is 17 years old and weighs in at a petite 120lbs, and Scooter, the male, is completely blind but seems so adjusted that I had no idea. Slick is their largest critter @ 500lbs. and is a 25 year old CSL. Here are some pics!

Well, I'm here!
I got to Milwaukee yesterday around 10AM, so did the snow. Luckily Rockwell(my car) did a fantastic job driving in the weather conditions! Everything is just about unpacked and I'm ready to start looking for jobs! I met one of my roommates, Jamie, yesterday and so far so good! I'm thinking today is going to be an adventure day and try to get to know the city I'm going to call home for the next 5 months. Expect lots of pics!

A Week Until Departure
It's only a few days until I depart on my one-way vacation. I've applied to a few employers and yet to hear anything back! I will be making calls tomorrow though. I've finally been approved for my room that I'm renting and what is super cool about it, is that Bridesmaids what taped in the same area! I am studying as much as I can about the critters that Oceans of Fun houses! If you would like to check out their website, here's a link! ~~~ http://www.oceansoffun.org/ ~~~ As the days creep closer to my leaving, I find myself getting a little more emotional about everyone I am leaving, my family, friends and especially my fellow Atlantians! This will be a solo ride to the Cheese state, so I am a little nervous, but I am sure everything will work out!
